Organisation
Organisational Structure
Within Helmholtz Munich, the Career Center for Postdocs and Doctoral Students is located under the roof of the "Strategy, Programs, Resources" (SPR) Department, where it is part of "Scientific Training and Career Development".
The Career Center itself has an interface function with several key places, both inside and outside of the Helmholtz Network. A large part of all interactions takes place with the target group, consisting of doctoral researchers and postdocs, which in turn leads to a close collaboration with the HELENA Graduate School and the Postdoc Coordination.
Cooperations & Quality Assurance
Within the Helmholtz Munich Network, the Career Center cooperates not only with the various departments within SPR, but also with the institutes at Helmholtz Munich, the Human Resources Development Department, the Helmholtz Research Schools and very many other vital contact points (also see "Further Support & Services"). Within the Helmholtz Association Network, the different Career Centers have established a close-knit community, ensuring a high level of exchange of best practices, built on mutual experiences. Lastly, in terms of external partners, both Munich universities (Technische Universität München and Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München) play an important role in the fine-tuning of Helmholtz Munich Career Center activities.
In terms of Quality Assurance, the Career Center has also established an Advisory Board, consistiing of target group memebers, researchers and further members of different vital liaising departments. In annual meetings, the Advisory Board and the Career Center discuss past and future elements of the Career Center's offerings, thereby ensuring a constant high quality, both in coaching and other supporting elements (i.e. career talks, workshops, etc.).
