Brigitte Fröhlich received her doctorate in microbiology from the University of Vienna in 2005. From 2006-2010 she developed novel vaccine strains as a scientist and project coordinator at the Viennese start-up company Avir Green Hills Biotechnology AG. From 2011, Brigitte is as scientific project manager significantly involved in the strategic development and establishment of the German Center for Diabetes Research (DZD). Her PMP certification proves her competence in portfolio and project management. She is responsible for the administrative coordination of the scientific program and of DZD NEXT, the DZD training and education program.
